Dress Down Day - Friday 13th
On Friday 13th October we are holding a fundraising day to support the BDS Kenya trip 2018.
During July 2018, 20 pupils from year 10 and 11 will be travelling to Kenya to spend two weeks working in schools, helping to improve conditions. Each of the team needs to raise £2250 the fund the trip and make donations to the schools.
As well as fund-raising activities we will be holding a “dress-down day” which will require each student to bring in a minimum donation of a pound to be able to participate.
Please note that whilst this is a dress down day there are still guidelines on issues to do with clothing.
- Temporary hair colouring is permissible but must be applied at home– no sprays in school.
- Jewellery follows standard school procedure (eg. no facial piercings).
- Clothing should be appropriate for a busy school environment (eg. No crop-tops, high-heels etc.).
- Students will still be required to remove outdoor jackets whilst inside the school building.
