Bedminster Down School

Uniform

We are proud of our uniform and expect it to be worn at all times.  It has been designed to be inexpensive and easy to look after.  Our standard of dress supports the school ethos and ensures that Bedminster Down School students are neat, tidy and clearly identified with our school.

Physical Education Kit & Equipment: In September 2014 the school changed to a system of vertical tutoring through a house system. This has proved extremely successful and we now wish to further embed this within the school ethos and allow the students to show their house colours in further aspects of their school life. The school PE kit will therefore be changing from the 23rd February 2015. However this does not mean that the students will need to change their kit straight away, only when they need a new one. We will continue running the current kit alongside the new kit, but will no longer sell the old kit. So how is the kit changing? The rugby top will now be reversible and the reverse side will be the colour of the student’s house. The main colour will remain as claret, so we can run the existing kit alongside it. The cost of new tops will not increase in price this year. The polo shirts will now be in the house colours not the current light blue. We will continue to use the light blue for school matches and the school will provide these shirts. The cost of the new house colour tops will be cheaper than the existing polo shirts. We would like to encourage students to change the polo tops as soon as possible, but they are under no obligation to do so. We are therefore offering a discount of £3 per polo shirt until 30th June 2015 to any student that exchanges their (clean and undamaged) existing light blue polo shirt for one in their house colour. The cost of the new polo tops will be; junior £6.00 / senior £7.00 (or £3.00 / £4.00 for those who exchange). These will also have the school logo and House names on them after half term.PE Polo shirts

Below are the pictures of the new Jerseys. Bedminster Down School – Sports Uniform We feel that this change will be popular with the students as it will further develop their house identity.
